Rachel & Liam

Rachel & Liam tied the knot on May 18th, 2024 at Potters Receptions; a dream wedding reception, in a magical setting with close friends and family, surrounded by luscious gardens and stunning scenery. The proposal definitely caught our bride Rachel by surprise. Rachel had planned a Halloween dress-up themed housewarming to celebrate a year in their home. However, Liam had planned a master proposal with help from a magician. Rachel was completely unaware it was happening until she saw a ring come out of the machine during a magic trick. Even after seeing the ring, Rachel didn’t believe it was real and needed clarification from Liam, who then proceeded to get down on one knee with the ring of Rachel’s dreams in his hands, and holding a sign that read ‘Will you marry me?’

Belle et Blanc bride ‘Rachel’ came into our bridal store and picked out the stunning ‘Melina’ wedding dress, a gorgeous A-line gown with V-front neckline, beaded appliqué lace and a glitter underlay. Rachel tells us, “I felt absolutely amazing in my gown, like a real life princess.
Rachel tells us how she came to pick her dream gown, “It was the first gown I tried on after looking at all the gowns on the rack. Straight away I knew it was the one. Donna, my bridal consultant was a great support and saw it in my face, that this was it. The fitting process was fun, relaxing and exciting. Donna helped create a beautiful atmosphere and made me feel beautiful in my dress.”

The wedding day for Rachel & Liam was such a wonderful day, accompanied by their nearest and dearest friends and family. Rachel tells us, “Our day felt like a dream come true. It was beyond perfect. After being together for 10 years, it was a special celebration not only celebrating our future ahead but our love over the years. We were surrounded by our family and friends and most importantly our 3 year old daughter. We couldn’t have imagined a better day. Liam was feeling all the emotions from happy and excited, to a little nervous about the big day, seeing his daughter and soon to be wife walking down the aisle. Rachel was very excited, relaxed, lots of happy tears and ready to marry her soon to be husband!
A special moment for Liam was when he was able to share a father daughter dance with their 3 year old, following the couple’s first dance. This was a very special moment for the whole family, which they will again share one day when our daughter has her very own wedding.
Liam and Rachel did a fun dance with their parents and their bridal party for all of their guests to see. Rachel tells us, “This was a great moment for us and our favourite people to get up and have a dance with each other!”
